Book Exchange Party

Since September is the start of fall, I thought a book exchange party would be a perfect fit!  Let’s face it what is better on those chilly morning then sitting out on your porch with a blanket, cup of coffee and a good book…

Below are my ideas on the details for my book exchange party:

Invitations: My idea is to use brown paper bag (lunch size) and fold them in half- decorate with whatever you choose but make sure you have an RSVP card included in the inside of the bag so that way your guests can RSVP.  My RSVP card was made out of a brown paint chip card that you can pick up at your local hardware store.  For the RSVP make sure you have a place for your guests to list the books they will be bringing that way thou can advertise later.

Refreshments: Home made latte’s and cookies, I have found a great recipe for some homemade pumpkin latte’s at www.loveveggiesandyoga.com.

Entertainment: Bookmark craft station, have your guests bring cereal boxes then cut them up and turn them into homemade bookmarks.  If bookmarks are not your thing then you could decorate coffee cups instead!

Playlist: Check out my playlist on Spotify, my playlist features: Sarah McLachlan, Enya, Michael Buble, John Mayer, Goyte and many more.  Click here to listen.

This party will come together great with some good advertising!  Use some of your social media tools to get the word out for what books will be there.  Another great idea would be to create a book club for your party on Goodreads, so everyone can read their new books together.
